Apple Watch bands fit into two size groups — just choose yours.
How Band Sizing Works
Although Apple Watch case sizes have evolved over time, they follow two main connector formats.
This means bands are interchangeable within each group, regardless of the exact case size.
Size Groups
Small Group — 38 / 40 / 41 / 42mm
- Series 0, 1, 2, 3 (38mm)
- Series 4, 5, 6, SE (all generations) (40mm)
- Series 7, 8, 9 (41mm)
- Series 10, 11 (42mm)
Large Group — 42 / 44 / 45 / 46 / 49mm
- Series 0, 1, 2, 3 (42mm)
- Series 4, 5, 6, SE (all generations) (44mm)
- Series 7, 8, 9 (45mm)
- Series 10, 11 (46mm)
- Ultra models (49mm)
Important Note on 42mm
Some 42mm watches fall into different groups depending on the series:
- Series 0–3 (42mm) → Large Group
- Series 10–11 (42mm) → Small Group
This is due to updated case proportions in newer models.
